Ulysse Nardin’s Marine collection is tribute to the original marine chronometers that sailors used for centuries before electronic navigation tools were invented. The Marine collection consists of ten different models: The Maxi Marine Chronometer, Marine Chronometer 40mm, Marine Diver, Marine Perpetual Limited, Acqua Perpetual, Marine Annual Chronograph, Marine Chronometer, Marine Chronometer 1846, Maxi Marine Diver, Blue Wave Limited Edition, and the Maxi Marine Chronograph.
The Maxi Marine Chronometer features a distinctive design with the power reserve indicator sub dial and the seconds sub dial with date window balanced above each other at twelve and six o’clock. The blued minute and hour hands, and large Arabic hour markers make the dial very easy to read. The 41mm case is available in steel or rose gold with either a white or black dial. The Maxi Marine Chrono has three strap/bracelet combinations: steel, leather and the UN patented rubber strap with titanium elements (hinges).
Ulysse Nardin’s Marine Diver’s silverized dial features a “dotted” treatment that gives the dial more texture, and is set in a 40mm case… The Marine Diver is made in steel or rose gold. The Marine Perpetual Limited (blue dial only) is noticeably larger with a 42.7mm case, and also has a rotating bezel. The Acqua Perpetual version is available with a white or black dial. The Marine Annual Chronograph is set in a smaller 40mm case and has a date and month display in addition the a chronograph. Ulysse’s Marine Chronometer 1846 is a smaller (38mm) version of the Marine Chronometer.
Ulysse’s Maxi Marine Diver’s case measures 42.7mm and has a power reserve sub dial set at twelve o’clock. The hour markers are luminescent geometric shapes that make the dial very easy to read. Both the hour and seconds hand are oversized. Ulysse manufactures the Maxi Marine Diver in rose gold and steel. In 2004 Ulysse produced the limited edition Blue Wave chronometer in a 41.00mm case. This watch features a very unique blue wave treatment and is limited to 350 pieces. The Maxi Marine Chronograph is the final timepiece in the Marine Collection, and features a 41mm.
