Tag Heuer has always been know for designing cutting edge watches that reinforce the company’s passion for professional car racing. The Kirium Series of watches takes this design ethos to a new level. The Kirium Formula 1 is the perfect example of this dedication. This Quartz Chronograph is unlike any other on the market. On the Digital Analog version the dial contains hour, second and minute sweep hands that are set on a black dial that displays the digital countdown and chrono function. The screen is easily back light by pushing on the crown. The chrono pushers are easily reached as they are set in from the crown in the case.
The Kirium Ti5 is a high tech watch in every sense of the word. Tag Heuer has gone to great lengths to only use materials that are used by Formula 1 race cars in the design and manufacturing of this watch. The dial is made from carbon fiber, and the case is carved out of Grade 5 Titanium making it extremely light and durable. One can choose from an automatic version with a date window and unit directional bezel, or the sportier chronograph version. Both are water resistant to 200 meters and are powered by a quartz movement set in a 39 mm case.
The smaller 37 mm Kirium Quartz model is available with a white, blue, black or silver dial. The automatic version has a more traditional looking dial than the quartz version. Tag also manufactures the Quartz Chronograph 1/10th model. The design on this dial is unique because there are no traditional sub dials and the hands flow seamlessly onto the dial.
