The Tag Heuer Carrera watch is one of the most famous sport watches ever made. Tag first introduced the Carrera in 1964. Tag created the Carrera in honor of the famous Argentinian car racer Juan Manuel Fangio who won the Carrera Panamericana in 1953. The Tag Heuer Carrera Automatic features a clean and sporty design. The dial is uncluttered and easy to read. In addition to measuring the hours, minutes and seconds there is a small date window at 3 o’clock. The 39 mm case size is perfect for someone seeking an understated sport watch. The Carrera Chronograph comes in two versions one in all steel and the other is steel with a leather strap. The all steel version is larger at 41 mm, and has a more technical look wit h the Tachymeter bezel. The steel on leather version is dressier and is available with a white or black dial.
The Carrera Twin Time is measures the second time zone with a fourth hand on the dial. The Twin Time version is only available with a black dial on either a black or brown leather strap. All the Carrera’s are water resistant to 50 meters and are powered by a self winding movement. The Twin Time automatic is also available with a perforated calfskin strap that resembles a leather steering wheel cover.
