Conceived by IWC, it bears unique constructive and decorative elements that pay respect to the original “Jones Calibre” family of movements which brought IWC its initial fame. Particularly striking is the characteristic elongated index which extends down from the balance cock, allowing adjustment of the balance beat, which at 18,000 vibrations per hour, is true to its historical predecessor. Intricate damascening covers all visible surfaces of the plates, in the manner of high-grade railroad watches from the 1860’s.
Featuring brushed and polished elements, the classic lines of the 43-mm case are timelessly appealing; the onion-shaped crown, and pomme-style hands are other details unique to the F.A.
