Girard Perregaux continues to impress us with the Richeville collection of timepieces. The Richeville Chronograph has evolved into a complicated watch that is elegant but “big”. Larger cases sizes are all the rage among Swiss watch designers and Girard Perregaux is a serious competitor with the new larger Richeville Chronograph. GP offers this chronograph in several versions, but all possess the same distinctive design. The chrono pushers are set on either side of the crown and taper into the side of the case. This design helps accentuate the curves of the case. GP has set the seconds sub dial at three o’clock, the hours at six o’clock, and the minutes at nine o’clock.
Girard Perregaux has done a wonderful job designing different dials and cases to create true variety in the collection. GP offers the Richeville Chronograph in white, yellow or pink gold. One can choose from a white, blue or black dial. We are very fond of the blue dial version with gold hands and markers. This watch will catch the eye of your friends with the contrasting white sub dials that are slightly smaller than the other versions. The black dial model has a darker brown leather strap, and the white dial a lighter brown leather strap. Unlike some other manufacturers, Girard Perregaux makes the automatic movement for the Richeville Chronograph in house. This highly accurate movement is visible from the glass back of the case. The case is mid sized measuring 37mm and is water resistant to 30 meters.
